  • Africa Institute of South Africa -- a non-profit organization that produces research on contemporary African affairs, conducting field studies throughout the African continent.
  • Africa Research Institute -- a non-partisan think tank based in London that focuses on political and economic liberalization issues and research.
  • African Arguments --  a website devoted to providing contemporary analysis of economic, business, and social and public policy issues related to Africa. Content includes regular columns from leading writers, scholars, activists as well as guest contributions. Site can be searched by keyword or by region.
  • African Centre for Advocacy and Human Development -- an independent, non-governmental organization that supports matters of local, state, and national significance that will further integrate the basic principles of free legal services, social and human development and growth in Africa and the world.
  • African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes -- encourages and promotes constructive resolution of disputes in Africa and assists in achieving political stability, economic recovery and peaceful co-existence within democratic societies.
  • African Institute for Agrarian Studies -- a regional organization that seeks to influence land and agrarian reform policies in Africa.
  • African Population and Health Research Center -- a non-profit, non-governmental international organization committed to conducting policy-relevant research on population and health issues facing sub-Saharan Africa.
  • African Studies Centre -- an independent scientific institute that undertakes social-science research on Africa and aims to promote a better understanding and insight into historical, current and future social developments in Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Africana Research Center -- aims to advance historical, cultural, civic and socio-economic development in Africa by providing support to researchers working in Nigeria, facilitates planning for conferences to be held in Nigeria, and publishes research pertaining to Africa and the African Diaspora.
  • Institute for Security Studies -- regional research institute operating across sub-Saharan Africa concerned with the enhancement of human security in Africa.
  • Norwegian Council for Africa -- an advocacy organization that promotes research and disseminates information that supports justice and development in and for Africa.
  • Research Institute on Democracy and Rule of Law -- an independent, non-profit, non-partisan research and educational organization that promotes policies that further democratic principles, the creation of a free society and the establishment of rule of law in West Africa, particularly in Guinea.
  • Royal African Society -- fosters a better understanding of Africa in the UK and throughout the world and disseminates knowledge and insight to make a positive difference to Africa’s development.
