Instructions for accessing

This page includes mobile apps licensed by USC Libraries which are potentially useful for health sciences students and clinicians. To get apps onto your device, you will need to use a computer to make a personal account on the vendor webpage, then, download the app and sign in using the personal account you created. If instructions vary, additional instructions are included near the app below.

Apps and the processes for getting them onto your device change frequently. If what you see on this guide does not match what you see on your phone or tablet, or you have questions about apps not mentioned here, contact the health sciences libraries for help.

Mobile apps available to USC affiliates

Complete Anatomy (app and software)
This interactive anatomy resource allows you to view body systems, add layers, explore physiological features, and more. Tools include; cutting, labeling, bone spurs, screen recordings, quiz creation and more. Learn more about how to use this product.

Student Access:
1. While available for phones, for the best experience, we recommend using this on a tablet or computer. On your device, go to the app or play store, search for and and download the app/software, or, click these links: iPad, Mac, Windows 10, iPhone, and Android.
2. On any device, access the USC Student Plus Flyer for instructions on how to sign in and the USC activation code.

Faculty Access: The Library's subscription allows faculty to create custom curricula that can be pushed to student accounts.

This app is large and complex, and installing on phones is supported, but many people experience problems. We recommend using this on a tablet or computer.

Complete Anatomy is currently available for these platforms and can be downloaded onto multiple devices: iPads (2014 and newer), Macs (10.11 and later), Windows 10, iPhones (6S or later), Chromebooks and Android phones. Review the current list of device specifications and system requirements.

1. Download from your App/Play Store.
2. Open app, select "settings."
3. Under "choose library," search or browse for University of Southern California.
4. Enter your USC NetID and password when prompted.
ClinicalKey App
Provides access to books, journals, clinical overviews, drug monographs, patient education, and procedure videos from USC's ClinicalKey subscription.
Micromedex App
Drug monographs, drug-drug oral interactions, and IV compatibility.

1. To activate app, connect the mobile device you wish to download the app onto, to USC Secure Wireless
2. Open your device's App/Play store. Search for and download the Micromedex app.
3. Open the app. You have two ways to authenticate:
a. Click the Activate Now button shown in the app.
b. Copy the code shown. On the same device, open a web browser and go to the Micromedex app activation page. Enter the code. Click Activate Now.

Non-subscribed apps
