The HarpWeek Database contains scanned images of Harper's Weekly, a prominent 19th- and 20th-century American magazine that began publication in 1857. In addition to the importance of illustrations and cartoons by artists like Winslow Homer and Thomas Nast, the paper's editorials played a significant role in shaping and reflecting public opinion from the start of the Civil War to the end of the century. The database currently has all issues from 1857-1912, covering the Civil War, Reconstruction, and Gilded Age periods

HPSSS Online is a web resource that makes the Harvard Project on the Soviet Social System accessible to researchers and students. The Harvard Project on the Soviet Social System is a collection of some 700 interview transcripts conducted with refugees from the USSR during the early years of the Cold War. A unique source for the study of Soviet society between 1917 and the mid-1940s, it boasts vast amounts of one-of-a-kind data on political, economic, social and cultural conditions. Access to the HPSSS Online resource is unrestricted. Between Magna Carta and the Parliamentary State: The fine rolls of King Henry III 1216--1272: A fine in the reign of King Henry III (1216--1272) was an agreement to pay the king a sum of money for a specified concession. The rolls on which the fines were recorded provide the earliest systematic evidence of what people and institutions across society wanted from the king and he was prepared to give. They open a large window onto the politics, government, economy and society of England in the hinge period between the establishment of Magna Carta at the start of Henry's reign and the parliamentary state which was emerging at its end. While the originals are in Latin this site presents them in English translation.

Hitler’s written legacy as contained in the database represents a unique source for studying Hitler’s world-view and his political ambitions. The most important resource for the database is the edition published by the Institute for Contemporary History (IfZ) titled Hitler – Speeches, Writings, Proclamations (1925–33). It focuses on Hitler’s speeches, by far the most effective propaganda tool for the National Socialist movement up to 1933. The edition is based on many years of research as well as a thorough evaluation of the news coverage of Hitler’s appearances as a speaker. In addition, the database contains the more than 1,700 documents from the Max Domarus edition (1932–1945) that first appeared in 1965.
