Library Instruction
Librarians provide customized, course-based sessions to students within a classroom setting using the general course content or specific assignments or projects. Faculty and instructors may request library instruction sessions for their classes by using the online Request-A-Class form. For more information, visit: Instructional Services.
Services for Faculty Library Users
New and current faculty members, meet with your Librarian subject specialist(s) for personal consultations regarding the USC Libraries’ resources and services. Librarians can also assist teaching faculty in developing research activities and course assignments that support improving students’ information literacy skills. Library accounts are automatically created for all currently enrolled students and employed faculty and staff. Accounts for new borrowers will be activated usually within one business day after the creation of their USC ID. Your USCard is your library card.The library card number consists of your 10-digit USC ID plus the 4-digit security code printed on the back of the card. Privileges are valid for one semester, but will be extended automatically if students continue to enroll and if faculty and staff continue to be employed.
