Dissertations: Borrowing Dissertations

This guide provides information on locating, borrowing, and purchasing doctoral dissertations. If you are unable to locate dissertations using these instructions, ask a librarian in any USC library for assistance.

Access USC Dissertations

Search USC Digital Library or the database ProQuest Theses & Dissertations to find USC dissertations.

Access Non-USC Dissertations

For CURRENT USC students, staff and faculty, Interlibrary Loan service borrows dissertations from other universities. Access the ILLIAD, USC's Interlibrary Loan system:

  • After logging in, choose Request a Thesis
  • Fill out the information on the form and click on Submit Request

You will receive an e-mail from ILL staff if/when the dissertation is available.
