Introduction

The study of linguistics includes the elements of general grammar, which include syntax, morphology, phonology, and semantics, along with phonetics, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, typology, and historical linguistics. For individual languages, check the individual LibGuides to the various languages that you are interested in. This LibGuide is divided into (1) General Reference Resources in Linguistics; (2) Useful Resources in Specific Areas of Linguistics; and (3) Indexes and Abstracts.
