Audio-Visual Materials

Unfortunately, audio-visual materials (videos, DVDs, CDs, etc.) are currently not available for Distance User home delivery services.  This is due to short term circulation time and other restrictions placed upon the material by lending libraries.

Document Delivery Articles and Chapters

IDD's Document Delivery service processes article and book chapter requests from USC-owned journals, books, and other materials. These documents are scanned and posted on our server for easy patron access.  You will receive a link to your electronic document via e-mail which you can use to view, download, or print your request.

To be eligible for Document Delivery services, you must be a currently active member of the USC community as one of the following:

  • USC Faculty member
  • USC Staff
  • Graduate student
  • Student enrolled in a Distance Education Course

Although Undergraduate students are not eligible for full document delivery services, they can request articles and book chapters held in off-campus locations such as Grand Avenue Library, East Storage, or Government Documents.

There is no charge or fee for using this service at this time.

To submit a request for document delivery, fill out an ILLiad article request form or book chapter request form with as much citation information as possible.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email us or call IDD at (213) 740-4020.

Distance Users - Home Delivery

IDD's Document Delivery service offers home delivery of items to users currently enrolled in a Distance Education Program.

The requested materials are delivered directly to your home via UPS.  When you are finished using the material, you can return the items back to the libraries, however please note that you are responsible for return postage.  Instructions and address information will be included with your home delivery package. If for some reason are unable to receive UPS packages at your home address, please contact us at idd@usc.edu or call (213) 740-4020.

If you are not currently registered to use the ILL/Document Delivery system (ILLiad), go to the ILLiad main page:

USC Libraries Interlibrary Loan (ILL) & Document Delivery

To view an informative video about Document Delivery services for Distance Users, please see Libraries4Me@USC ILLiad/IDD.

PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately, IDD currently cannot ship USC-owned or ILL-borrowed materials to international addresses at this time.
