COMM 209: Communication and Media Economics: Literature Searching

Literature Searching

Especially for private companies, supplementing your research in company and industry databases with reading from articles is key.  Sometimes journalists and trade reporters have access to databases USC does not, or reports on interviews with industry analysts or company executives, or in some other way gleans information not readily available on private and public companies.

See this Research Guide on literature searching for business, with special emphasis on ways to search for negative news.  When you are researching, thinking outside the box can be valuable!
