You may choose to install a browser plugin to make this process more seamless. You can download and install these plugins when you're logged into EndNote Online under the "Options" tab and click "Downoad Installers".
Note: These plugins are currently only available for Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.
1. Export the results to .nbib file from PubMed:
2. Log into EndNote Online. Under the "Collect" tab and click "Import References".
Choose the "citations.nbib" file you saved from PubMed.
Select "PubMed (NLM) from the list of databases.
Choose an existing group to send the references or you can choose to create a new group.
Click "Import"
1. Export the results to .nbib file from PubMed:
2. A file called "citations.nbib" will be generated. You can either:
a) Double click to open the file and confirm that the file should be opened using EndNote
OR
b) Open EndNote and select File: Import or click the Import button on the toolbar
Then Choose the "citations.nbib" file. Select "PubMed (NLM)" from the Import Option drop down menu.
Select whether you want duplicates automatically removed or not. No text translation option is necessary.
Click "Import"
