Research Poster Guidelines

Your research poster must:

Demonstrate use of relevant and reliable information sources.
Address social determinants of health, health disparities, cultural competency, equitable access, public health, community health, and/or cultural engagement in dentistry and oral health.

Research Poster Rubric

Focus	The focus of the research is exceptionally clear, insightful, and effectively guides the poster.	The focus of the research is well-defined, precise, and effectively guides the poster.	The focus of the research is clear and provides a good direction for the poster.	The focus is present but needs refinement for greater clarity and focus.
Social Determinants of Health/Health Disparities*	Social determinants of health and/or health disparities are explicitly addressed for the population explored in your research in both the introduction/background and discussion or conclusion.	Social determinants of health and/or health disparities are explicitly addressed in the introduction/background or discussion or conclusion.	Social determinants of health and/or health disparities are implicitly connected to the research but not explicitly addressed.	Social determinants of health and health disparities are not addressed.
Research & Citations	Outstanding research with an impressive array of diverse, relevant, reliable, high-level, and well-integrated and cited sources.	Excellent research with diverse and relevant sources, skillfully integrated and cited.	Good research with sources effectively integrated and cited.	Adequate research with sources integrated and cited but may lack variety.
Organization & Clarity	Exceptionally well-organized poster with outstanding clarity and logical flow.	Very well-organized poster with strong cohesion and seamless transitions.	Well-organized poster with clear sections and effective transitions.	Some organizational issues; transitions between sections are sometimes weak.
Overall Impression	The poster is exceptional in all aspects and stands out for its quality.	The poster is strong, convincing, and well-structured, exceeding expectations.	The poster is solid and meets most expectations, providing a reasonable analysis.	The poster meets basic requirements but is somewhat unconvincing.

*Social determinants of health, health disparities, cultural competency, equitable access, public health, community health, and/or cultural engagement in dentistry and oral health. This part must be present in order to be considered for the award.
