Black History Month

Personal Inspiration

We want to hear from you!  How do you build resilience?

“If you are silent about your pain, they’ll kill you and say you enjoyed it.”― Zora Neale Hurston

This year's Black History Month theme “Black Resistance” provides powerful examples of the resiliency African Americans have employed to overcome persistent barriers to success.  We can all learn from this history, and we can also learn from each other.

We invite you to share a short paragraph and photo describing who or what inspires you, or anything you do to push past barriers or difficult times. This can include family members, friends, colleagues, mentors, icons, pets, songs, places, or techniques that you employ.

Submissions will be posted in the Lower Level of the Norris Medical Library, Health Sciences Campus.

All members of the USC community (faculty, staff, students) are invited to participate.

Participants will be entered into a raffle to win a library swag bag – includes a $25 gift certificate and more!
