Training agenda

9:30-10:30am  Molecular Biology Tools

  • Sequence analysis and manipulation, primer design, cloning, Blast searches, in silico restriction digestion, and much more.

10:30-11:30am Genome assembly and strain identification

  • De novo genome assembly
  • Identify strain specific variants through whole genome sequencing and K-mer/SNP trees analysis

11:30-12:00pm Qiagen’s QIAseq NGS Library Prep Kits

  • Qiagen's unique protocols and molecular indexing strategies allow for highly complex libraries with minimal bias or sequencing errors to ensure the most accurate representation of your samples.

12:00-1:00pm Lunch will be provided

1:00 – 2:30pm Analysis of RNA-seq/microRNAseq data (hands-on)

2:30pm-3:30pm Variant Detection Workflows

  • Detect of somatic, germline, and copy number variants from your DNA-seq data through whole genome, whole exome, and targeted panels.
