Research4Life: HINARI: Eligible & Registered Instituitons

Research4Life is the collective name for four programs – HINARI, AGORA, OARE and ARDI – that provides developing countries with free or low cost access to online academic and professional peer-reviewed content.

Eligibility Criteria

Currently over 100 countries, areas, and territories are eligible to participate based on four factors: 1) Total GNI (World Bank figures), 2) GNI per capita (World Bank figures), 3) United Nations Least Developed Country (LDCs) List and 4) Human Development Index (HDI). Group A - Free Access

Group B - $1,500 per calendar year, per institution

Note: The $1,500 yearly payment provides access to all four programs, but there are specific by country publisher exclusions.

Individuals:  Individuals cannot register for HINARI, however, all permanent and visiting faculty, scientists, students, medical specialists and staff members of registered institutions are entitled to obtain the institutional User Name and Password. 

Institutions: Local, not-for-profit institutions may register for access.
