BJS collects, analyzes, publishes, and disseminates information on crime, criminal offenders, victims of crime, and the operation of justice systems at all levels of government.
Information on access to mental health and mental illness (MH/MI) surveillance data sources is provided on various MH/MI topics. Data sources include the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS), the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), and the National Health Interview Survey (NHIS). Relevant statistics are also presented.
Child Welfare Information Gateway connects child welfare and related professionals to information and resources to help protect children and strengthen families. Topics covered include prevention to permanency, including child abuse and neglect, foster care, and adoption.
