- Dance Marathon at USC
Since its founding in 2008, Trojan Dance Marathon has raised over $100,000 for Children's Hospital Los Angeles and is working tirelessly to make DM7 the biggest and best it has ever been. We are so excited that you are looking to get involved! This March, hundreds of Trojans will come together and pledge to remain standing dancing for twelve consecutive hours in order to raise monetary support and honor the inspirational kids at Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
- Dancers of Keck
Dancers of Keck (DOK) provides a forum for students with or without a background in dance to express themselves creatively through movement and encourages physical activity through free weekly dance classes/workshops in various styles that are run and taught by its members and are open to the Health Sciences Campus community. DOK also creates performance pieces for annual campus showcases and competitions such as Medgames, Diwali Day, and Kecktacular.
- Sokamba Dance Company
Sokamba's purpose is to allow creative minds from all artistic backgrounds to engender and bring into fruition unique and personally inspiring projects. These projects turn into collaborations among members from various artistic fields - e.g. music, dance, animation, sculpting, etc. - and culminate in a live multimedia performance that aims to invigorate audience members and participants alike. Sokamba provides a medium through which its artists can bring to life their innovative and experimental ideas in a collaborative and stimulating environment.
- Street Dance Society
Street Dance Society is a USC student organization specializing in freestyle dance. We promote hip-hop/b-boy culture and provide an artistic outlet for street dance styles.
- USC Ballroom and Latin Dance Team
A student organization devoted to teaching International style Smooth and American style Latin dance and to spread the love of dance.
- USC Traditional Chinese Dance
USC TCDance is a non-profit organization that serves as an inspirational body to encourage further awareness for Chinese dance as well as to provide inspiration to communities everywhere. The purpose of USC TCDance is to explore, promote, and educate the public about Chinese culture and Chinese traditional and folk dance by performing at on- and off-campus events along with philanthropic events for the surrounding community.
- Xpressions Dance Company
Xpressions mission is to provide USC dancers and artists with an outlet for creative expression and a place for self-exploration. The company is entirely directed and choreographed by students with a central vision to communicate narratives and ideas through the art of movement. We focus our efforts in various dance styles including contemporary, modern, hip-hop, tap, lyrical, ballet, and more. XDC dancers and choreographers work hard every semester to present a Showcase both in the Spring and Fall, usually in Bovard Auditorium.
