Finding data and statistics can be difficult. Some suggestions:
- Think about who would be interested in gathering the data: a government agency? A private company? A nonprofit or nongovernmental agency? Use a web search service to look for these organizations and determine if they gather data and make it available.
- It can take a few years after data collection to prepare data for release by removing identifying information, or to prepare statistical reports. Take this into consideration when deciding what data to gather.
- If you find another report or source that includes data, examine the citations in that source to find additional data sources.
