Scholarly Communication

Scholarly communication is the system through which research and other scholarly writings are created, evaluated for quality, disseminated to the scholarly community, and preserved for future use.  Association of College and Research Libraries   

If you're a faculty member, staff, or academic in training (postdoc, resident, or intern), YOU are a part of scholarly communication!

...if you CREATE works like articles, presentations, or handouts, or USE passages from others' books or articles, images, or other materials in your classroom, you need to know about copyright.

...if you want to freely ACCESS or DISSEMINATE publications, you can do so through Open Access.

...if you have received funding that mandates sharing of peer-reviewed publications and digital data or need to create a Data Management Plan, tools and resources exist to assist with Public Access Mandates compliance.
