Banned Books: Freedom to Read

Access to diverse books aligns with the First Amendment right of free speech and the American Library Association's commitment to intellectual freedom outlined in the Library Bill of Rights, which states that libraries should "provide materials and information presenting all points of view on current and historical issues," "challenge censorship," and "cooperate with all persons and groups concerned with resisting abridgment of free expression and free access to ideas."
