CLASS REVIEW [We searched for the term transgender and examined the ebook Black on Both Sides: A Racial History of Trans Identity.] This source presents an intersectional view on transness. The intersection of gender expression and race allows us to examine how race, gender, and sexuality are interconnected and related. This resource is an intervention of black and gender studies in transatlantic history. It allows us to re-read history through the lens of gender expression. It could be used as a model for our archival research.
