Student Interest Group

American Academy of Periodontology has created an interest group for dental students, appropriately called the Dental Student Interest Group (DSIG). The DSIG is intended to assist dental students in gaining a greater understanding of periodontics as a specialty and how the Academy can aid them in their careers, whether they practice as a general dentist, periodontist or in another specialty area.

Dental students eligible for the DSIG will be currently enrolled in a U.S. dental school accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.  Participation in the DSIG program gives dental students online access to all AAP member-only content including, the Journal of Periodontology and a multitude of research and practice information.  Information on the DSIG participation fee is available at the site.
