USC PGS User Access Policy

The Norris Medical Library has licensed Partek Genomic Suite (PGS) for the free use of USC faculty, students and staff. This license currently consists of two concurrent user seats. To ensure proper and equal access to PGS, all users must comply with the following procedures and rules.

Carefully read the policy, rules, and the Partek user agreement terms.
Complete and submit the PGS registration form.
Always exit the software after the use.
Do not exceed the maximum time limits for each session, as defined below

PGS Usage Limit

Time Period of a Day	Monday - Friday	Saturday - Sunday (holidays)
8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.	Up to 3 hours/session and up to 6 hours total during this period, no back-to-back sessions are allowed. The minimum interval between the two sessions is 1 hour.	Up to 24 hours/session during the period
6:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m.	Up to 12 hours/session total during the period	Up to 24 hours/session during the period

A first violation of the maximum access time limit (either per session or per time period of a day) will result in an email warning.
Three such violations will result in suspension or permanent loss of full access to PGS.
