Geoffrey C. Shepard

Geoffrey C. Shepard is the grandson of Saidee Pettus Hoose, son of her daughter, Barbara Hoose (1917-2004). Most of his collection supplements that of his grandmother, consisting of family photographs and documents relating to his mother's experiences growing up in Beiping (Beijing). Also included are several varied items, such as the briefing book prepared by his uncle, Harned Hoose (1920-19810, written for President Richard Nixon and Henry Kissinger, in preparation for their historic visit to China in 1972. Geoffrey Shepard served in the Nixon Administration as Associate Director, White House Domestic Affairs Council, and is the author of The Secret plot to make Ted Kennedy President: the real Watergate conspiracy and The real Watergate scandal : collusion, conspiracy, and the plot that brought Nixon down.
