Update on Library Electronic Resource Access

The USC Libraries are phasing out direct access to electronic resources based on fixed USC IP addresses (used by computers located on campus). This move is in response to a marked increase in attempts of unauthorized access, excessive download of publisher's content, contractual concerns from vendors, and guidance from Office of Chief Information Security Officer.

Electronic resources are now solely accessible through the USC Libraries website by signing on with your USC NetID. Below are some suggestions:

• Use library’s Database A-Z list to find electronic resources link by name
• For a known-item search, cut and paste citations directly to the search box on Libraries website
• Install the LibKey Nomad browser extension to your browser. LibKey Nomad recognizes much of the scholarly publishers’ content subscribed by USC Libraries (see list) and allows you to access full text directly from the publisher’s website
• Google Scholar users, please add USC Libraries as your library link and use Find It @ USC to access library-subscribed content
• EndNote 20 / Desktop users, please start your search with EndNote Online and download search results to EndNote 20 / Desktop. Here are some helpful tips on using EndNote.
• Zotero users, please install Zotero Connector to your browser
