Following our dynamic first gathering, we're excited to announce our second AI Meetup at the Ahmanson Lab on February 18th, 2-3pm. This time, we're focusing on the tools and applications that are shaping your work, research, and creative projects.

From ChatGPT's coding wizardry to Claude's writing capabilities, from Gemini's multimodal features to Perplexity's prompt recommendations – we've discovered there are as many ways to use these tools as there are users. Whether you're using AI for transcription, content creation, data analysis, or something entirely unexpected (Kendrick Lamar party planning, anyone?), we want to hear about your experiences.

Have a favorite AI tool or an interesting use case? We'd love for you to share it! Come ready to share or demo a feature you find particularly useful, show off a creative workflow, or simply discuss your experience. And if you're still exploring the AI landscape, that's perfect too – this is an ideal opportunity to learn from peers across USC's diverse community.

Building on the insights from our first meetup, we'll continue exploring how these tools can supplement our work while maintaining the critical thinking and creativity that drives innovation.

What to Expect:

  • Informal demonstrations of various AI tools and applications
  • Open discussion about practical implementations
  • Cross-disciplinary perspectives from fellow USC staff, faculty, and students
  • Insights into both everyday and unexpected uses of AI
