General Statistics Sources

Start your statistics research by locating a table, chart, or graph using Lexis Nexis
Use the FIND A TABLE link and type in a keyword describing the information you are looking for. If you can't find the right words, then use the Subject List  and look through the A-Z list of categories.

The Statistical Abstract of the United States, published yearly since 1878, is the authoritative and comprehensive summary of statistics on the social, political, and economic organization of the United States.Use the Abstract as a convenient volume for statistical reference, and as a guide to sources of more information both in print and on the Web Sources of data include the Census Bureau, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Bureau of Economic Analysis, and many other Federal agencies and private organizations

Use the search box located in the right hand side of the screen to search for information by keywords. I highly recommend also using the subject categories located on the left side of the screen to drill down for information-e.g. Transportation: Motor Vehicle Registrations, Alternative Fueled Vehicles to find charts about alternative fueled vehcile usage in the U.S.
