USC Libraries and Hours
There are 23 separate libraries at USC, covering both campuses --- click here for a list.
The Call Law Library is a separate entity, but some materials may be available to non-law students and faculty; check at that library.
The Leavey Library is open 24/7 six days/week during the fall and spring semesters, and could be a good first-source library for Writing 140, as the print collection includes many general college-level texts on all subjects, as well as a large Information Commons with public use computers and group study rooms available. Click here to see Leavey on the USC Map.
The open hours for all our libraries are listed here.
The list also includes exceptions; for example on some USC holidays only Leavey is open.
Welcome to the USC Libraries
As you begin your academic career at USC, we in the USC Libraries want to let you know we are here to help you do your best! We have printed books, journals, magazines and newspapers in the over 15 libraries at USC. We have thousands of online journals and e-books that you can access from the Web. You can study in any of our spaces, and Leavey Library and the Science & Engineering Library have group study spaces you may reserve. The rest of the boxes on this guide will point you to some library resources in more detail -- these are resources your Summer Bridge professors think will be especially useful to you. Again, welcome, and Fight On!
The new Quick Search interface provides a Google-like experience, allowing researchers to use one search box to discover credible and reliable library content - digital and print, audio and video, single articles to entire e-journals, and every format in between.
