USC's Interlibrary Loan & Document Delivery team (IDD) works with a global network of institutions to borrow and loan materials that support scholarly research for faculty, staff, and students.
Interlibrary loan (ILL) obtains articles, book chapters, and other documents from resources not owned or otherwise unavailable from USC. ILL also borrows books, dissertations, government documents, microforms and other physical materials not owned by USC or otherwise unavailable from our collection. Once received, these items are made available at the Leavey Library circulation desk to check out. Requested articles are delivered via a PDF link to your USC email account.
Document Delivery provides articles, book chapters, and other documents that are owned by USC, scanned and delivered to you via a link in an email. Currently, the Document Delivery service is available to all USC faculty, staff, and graduate students. Also, distance users enrolled in distance education program are eligible to receive article requests from USC-owned materials delivered directly to their desktop. Please contact us if have any questions about Document Delivery services.
Please note: IDD does not provide on-campus physical item delivery at this time. However, if you are a distance user enrolled in a distance education program, you can receive home delivery service of USC-owned materials. Please contact us for more information.
If you are new to IDD services, please review our Policies and Procedures on this LibGuide. When you are ready to request materials, please be sure to register with the IDD system with your current and complete information to ensure best quality service.
