RefWorks: JSTOR

Brief guide to using RefWorks in the USC Libraries environment.

Importing from JSTOR

Note: Be sure that you have turned off the pop-up blocker in your web browser before starting.

JSTOR

In order to export more than one citation at a time, JSTOR requires that you create a (free) JSTOR account. This account allows you to save citations in JSTOR as well as export multiple citations to various citation management software, such as RefWorks. Please see the MyJSTOR site: www.jstor.org/action/showPreferences?myJstor=true

If you do not have an account, you can export citations one at a time by following the steps below:

  1. from the search results list, click on "Export this Citation"
    JSTOR
  2. click on RefWorks

If RefWorks isn’t open, a window will open and prompt for login.

RefWorks

  1. once you login to RefWorks, you should see the "Import from..." window
  2. you may edit the global field settings if you wish (not usually required)
  3. click on "View Last Imported Folder" to see your imported citations
