Request - a - Class

Use the form to request a librarian to visit your class and provide a session on the use of databases, teach best research strategies for writing courses, and guide students through the ever expanding number of electronic resources, journals and books.

Document Delivery

Document delivery is a service that provides electronic delivery of articles and book chapters from USC Libraries print collections. This service is currently only available for USC Faculty and Distance Learning program participants. Requesting is done in the same way as Interlibrary Loan on the Integrated Document Delivery ILL page. Contact IDD at 213-740-4020 or idd@usc.edu with any questions.

Overview of Services

Library accounts for current USC faculty and Professors Emeritus include the following services:
 

  • Facility access for all USC Libraries locations
  • Borrowing of up to 200 standard circulating material items at a time
  • Remote and on-site access to USC subscriptions of online journals, books and databases. Access to electronic databases, electronic journals, electronic books, and other subscription research websites is for the exclusive use of all current USC students, faculty, €”including visiting and part-time, €”and staff. Electronic resources are governed by license agreements, and the terms of use are set by the publishers and vendors from which they are subscribed.

    Retired faculty who hold the title Professor Emeritus also may access electronic resources remotely. Please note that membership in the Emeriti Center does not automatically allow remote electronic access to subscription resources. Such access is available only to those retired faculty with the Professor Emeritus designation.

Please note that Library privileges are not transferable to other individuals, and the Library reserves the right to request secondary picture identification before allowing access to facilities or providing services.
