Google Scholar

Scholar graphic Google Scholar can be a good search engine for more scholarly wellness information (than Google, in some cases). To make sure Scholar searches USC databases and electronic journals, select the Scholar Preferences option in the advanced search, and then type University of Southern California in the Library Links box, and check all the options.

Library of Congress Guide: Locating Health & Medical Info

National Library of Medicine: Medline Plus

The National Library of Medicine's Medline Plus service has a detailed Wellness and Lifestyle site covering a variety of topics including emotional, mental and physical health, exercise, kids, seniors, and more.

Medline Plus also has an interactive tutorial on managing stress. It is available in English y en Espanol.

Discovery Channel on the Web has a wide variety of videos (requires Flash): http://health.discovery.com/beyond/, from Dr. Oz to exercise to surgery prep and more.
